About me
Amy Hortop is an Instructional Design Engineer in Sustainable Transportation Education and Partnerships (STEP) Department at Argonne National Laboratory supporting education and workforce development programs. She is an engineering and design educator with over 15 years’ experience designing inclusive learning experiences in higher education across multiple countries, and prior to her role in Argonne, had most recently been involved in the coordination, instructional design, and teaching of multidisciplinary project-based experiential courses with in-person, online, and hybrid modality. In her current role, she supports community-engagement aspects and new workforce efforts around clean energy mobility technology across the STEP Department program portfolio. She received her master’s in Mechanical Engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology and an engineer’s degree in Engineering Management from the George Washington University.
